It may not be grammatically correct, but it’s one question every woman should ask as she wrestles issues like

LOVE this part of the book “I believe that just as the enemy of our soul, Satan, uses pornography to cripple and bind men, he uses the body image issue to destroy women.”Ladies (and men would understand us a lot better if they would read this, too), this book isn’t like anything you have grabbed off the Christian bookstore shelf. I picked this up expecting to be constantly reminded we are images of God and should do more praying and less eating in stressful times, surround ourselves with Godly women. Bla..Bla... We have all heard it! Wow, was I wrong! This book is amazing and speaks truth into societies never-ending pressure to be someone we were never meant to be. There are so many lies we believe, whether we know it or not, that just become part of our daily routine. Examining those brings an amazing freedom from the comparison I didn’t even realize I needed. Not only is Heather an amazing author, this book is hysterical! There are questions at the end of each chapter, but I must admit, the first time I read it I skipped them because I couldn’t put the book down! I have since gone back and read and completed the questions, twice. It’s next in line for my husband to read too. I think it will bring him an understanding of what women face like he’s never known. Thanks for this amazing book, Heather!

Compared to Who? A Proven Path to Improve Your Body Image edition by Heather Creekmore Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
This book is brilliant. Creekmore outlines a clear, five-step process to freedom from body image struggles and comparison. She shares her personal story, which really helps the reader relate. Heather is very candid about her struggles and uses them to empathize with the reader. She gets you! This book provides useful tools for one’s fight against body image and comparison issues. It gets to the heart of the problem, but still has a comedic, non-condemning tone. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.
As professional counselor and eating disorder specialist, I recommend this enough as a great book that offers in internal solutions to an external problem. The author provides biblical follow up and a practical approach to a problem that the majority of American women struggle with – how they view and feel about their bodies.
So the biggest wow factor to me was realizing that my lack of self worth is just as sinful and wrong as someone so full of themselves. How selfish and misguided am I to think my perfectly healthy body shouldn't be enjoying life instead of stuck in the conundrum of "I'll start Monday," "I won't eat carbs until I can fit into this" sabotaging my families joy because I don't want to go to a waterpark and be in a bathing suit. Ridiculous. Thank you for making me see myself through a different lens, and helping me on a journey towards freedom from comparison. Great read that I will often reference.
This book was such an enjoyable read. Not only did it deliver valuable information, it also had me laughing and relating throughout. I highly recommend to any woman struggling with body image, or for any woman really. Very beneficial
This book wasn't what I expected, in all the best ways. I didn't think of myself as having a poor body image, but the truths (not judgements) offered in an authentic, fun prose, made me consider all the lies I've been believing (but hadn't really been considering). There are greater applications than body image in this book, and I'd recommend it to any woman! Thank you, Heather!
Yes! Buy this book. Read it. Put it into practice.
I have struggled with body image issues since 3rd grade and they have always hung in my life like a heavy grey cloud of despair despite my relationship with the Lord, a life with so much to be thankful for, and even if not more so when reaching as close to my ideal physical body as I can reach......
My book arrived on Friday and I devoured it in 3 days. I underlined so much that mirrored my thoughts, my actions, my struggles. I am not alone in this fight and neither are you!
What I loved about the book is that I now feel like there is real hope for recovery, for freedom for the all consuming struggle with my body not being "good enough". I look forward to going back and answering and pondering the questions at the end of each chapter and working through the practical steps Heather writes about in the book.
Even if you have followed her blog for years, buy the book.... you won't regret it.
So, I don’t really struggle with body image issues. (And that’s actually not on account of my smoking hotness, heh heh). I just have different issues. So why pick up this particular book? Well, the author is a friend, and I thought I’d do what friends do--read it, and write a review. But, truly, she blessed ME by sharing her story about the freedom she has found through the gospel of Jesus. The book had much broader applications to my life than I expected it to have, honestly. So much of her message had me nodding my head in agreement. There are so many confusing cultural messages about our bodies and our worth. (“Which is it? Do I convince myself that I’m not, or do I convince myself that being hot doesn’t matter?”) Rather than try to strike the right balance between high/low self esteem, she proposes focusing instead on esteeming who God is, and striving for an accurate evaluation of ourselves. Whatever our particular struggle is, we all too often look for freedom in the wrong places. What we wrestle with the most are not external factors, but battles of the heart. When beauty becomes a treasure we chase, Heather calls it sin, and argues me must confront it if we want to be free. She lays out a plan to help, which might just work, with Jesus at the center of it. Jesus isn’t a “resource” that will give us what we desire for our own self-serving purposes. Instead, Jesus is our source, or hope and our savior. This author speaks the truth in love—(something she does consistently as a friend!) She writes with humor, grace and honesty. You won’t be sorry for the time you spend reading Compared to Who.
