I really enjoyed this contemporary romance where two strong willed people and their completely different worlds collide.
Sophie is a landscape designer but her work is much more than just designs, it's art. She is very talented and when she comes to Montana with her design for a golf course she will soon meet someone who will give her a run for her money.

Jake is cocky, confident and sexy as hell. After all he is a cowboy and it isn't too long before Sophie learns that Jake is a lawyer and father as well. The thing Sophie admires most is his beautiful family. After meeting them all she is completely envious of them since she didn't grow up with much family.

Of course there is also an attraction between these two and it isn't long before Sophie feels like Jake's family as well as Jake himself want more.

"I think your family is matchmaking." It wasn't what she'd meant to say. "They like you." he flipped her around, pressing her against the hard metal of the truck. "So do I."

The people in town however, aren't thrilled with her design nor do they want it. As time moves on Sophie is asked to design some things that the town does want and Jake brings to light some things Sophie wasn't aware of leaving her second guessing what she came to do. All the while things aren't exactly going in Sophie's favor, her and Jake decide to explore and the passion soon ignites. Jake calls her Sunshine which I liked. He is an alpha male no doubt and he certainly knows what he is doing!

As these two spend more and more time together several things happen and I think you should read it to find out what they are!!! I loved their story. It was fun, romantic, sexy, realistic and heartwarming especially when Jake says...

"I want your heart"

This was my first read by Ms. Zanetti and I will definitely be reading more of her work.

Guilty as charged. My love for Jake makes me forgive the weaknesses in the book. I absolutely agree with the reviewers who suggested that the plot was fairly light. All problems are resolved a little too easily and Sophie is another one of Ms. Zanetti's petite, spunky females with a heart shaped butt.

Jake is an uber alpha male -- big, great looking, rich, bossy, lawyer cowboy. He only flaw is being a slow learner when it comes to contraceptives.

All the same, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The steam factor is set to high and there is a great cast of secondary characters. If you're not in the mood for War and Peace and think some time with a yummy cowboy is just what the doctor ordered, then give this a whirl. I'm off to Montana for Book 2.
I love this author's writing, which is always flawless. This was a superb read with a storyline that had me up into the wee hours of the morning on a week night...couldn't put the book down. I don't do spoilers of any kind sorry, but believe me this is a must read, so grab it now.
I liked the premise and I liked the chemistry between the two main characters, but I felt like everything was wrapped up too easily. Sophie had a terrible childhood but we only get glimpses of what happened to her but that is supposed to account for why she feels like she wants to belong to Jake's family and the community. Jake has demons of his own, but I felt like the author only scratched the service of his past and what he possibly could be feeling. Despite their pasts, the characters came together and it never really felt like either of them was running away from the other, though the author claims Sophie wants to leave Jake all the time.

Sophie has been receiving "threats", but the perpetrator comes forward on his own and its very anticlimactic. The author ties everything up in one page. It would have been nice to have some more.
Oh my. Talk about a serious cowboy alpha male overload---in the best possible way. Damn. Against the Wall was one deliciously sexy read that had me biting my lip and turning the pages as quickly as I possibly could to see how Sophie and Jake--who were on opposing sides of a development being built-- would battle it out and find love in the midst of opposing views and a spot of danger that's thrown into the mix from some local crazies.

The quick of it is that Sophie has come into Jake's world to survey the area for a golf course that's in the works and it's his mission to prevent any such thing from being built that would mar the lands he cares for. Ahhh the dramas. lol And of course the attraction and chemistry between the two is through the roof from the get go so you just know it's gonna be good.

I really enjoyed both Sophie and Jake. They're interesting people and ones I'd love to hang around with. Their romance was fun and like I mentioned... The chemistry between them was incredible and the sex scenes were oh so very yummy and intense. Hell, everything about Jake was intense. It would be something else being the sole focus of his attention. Whew.

Zanetti is brilliant when it comes to creating fun, sexy romances with the most drool-worthy men and incredible heroines that keep them in line and Against the Wall was no different. On top of the romance there was also just a wonderful feel to the community. Everyone knows everything about everyone but you just can't help but love them in all their gossipy nosy glory. This one is definitely a keeper and one I'll be reading again some day.
